Some cases of covid-19 positivity have been found in the Emilian team
ROME. The Serie A basketball championship match on Sunday will not be played between Fortitudo Kigili Bologna and Banco di Sardegna Sassari. This was announced by the basketball league (Lba) with a statement, explaining that the decision was made due to the positive cases of Covid found in the group of the Emilian team, quarantined by the ASL of Bologna.
“The president of the Lba Umberto Gandini, regarding the match scheduled on 26 December 2021 between Fortitudo Kigili Bologna and Banco di Sardegna Sassari – is written in a statement on the league’s website -, valid for the 13th matchday of the Serie A Championship; having acknowledged the impossibility of playing the aforementioned match due to the provision taken today by the ASL Bologna which, following positive results found in the Fortitudo Kigili Bologna Squad Group, imposed a quarantine period on it, with the possibility of resume sporting activity no earlier than 01 January 2022; all this considered, orders the postponement of the same batch.
