The victory after Moioli
“Great Omar! Today-declared the president of Coni Giovanni Malago – we got back what we lost yesterday with Moioli. A test of character in a final far from easy. The 8 medals of Italy
So far there are 8 medals won by the azzurri in Beijing 2022:
– the 2 gold medals were won by Arianna Fountain (short track 500 meters women) and the duo Stefania Constantini and Amos Mosaner (curling, mixed doubles tournament);
– the 4 silver medals were awarded by Francesca Lollobrigida (speed skating 3,000 meters) and the mixed relay of short track (Arianna Fontana, Arianna Valcepina, Andrea Cassinelli and Confort Brignone (Alpine Skiing, Women’s giant), Federico Pilgrim (sprint free cross-country skiing technique);
– the 2 bronze medals were won by Dominik Fischnaller (men’s luge) and Omar Visintin (snoboard Board cross).
Today’s races, February 10th
Having reached the eighth medal with Omar Visintin, today there could (hopefully) be other nice surprises. As for the midday mixed team freestyle ski race, it is to be recorded that it is the first time this event will be held at the Olympics. Before only 2 were the events: in the FIS freestyle Ski World Cup of 2021-22 and both were won by the China, with Russia and the United States ranked once second and Ukraine twice third.
A total of 8 teams will qualify to compete. Each country, with at least 3 qualified athletes (at least one man and one woman), can enter the competition.
On February 11 the women’s Super G: Goggia will not be there
