The E-Work Faenza – Costruzioni Italia Broni match, valid as game 1 of the first play out round, scheduled for last night at 20.30 at PalaBubani, has been postponed: it will be played tonight (but the official status of the Fip is missing). The Oltrepadana formation was unable to reach the Romagna city, due to an accident along the A21 motorway. The girls and the technical staff left in the early afternoon from Broni but found themselves stuck between the Castel San Giovanni and Piacenza toll booths: a serious accident occurred which involved two heavy vehicles and required the intervention of numerous rescue vehicles. . Within a few minutes a long column of vehicles formed and subsequently the motorway exits between Broni and the Emilian capital were closed. After almost 3 hours the traffic was still semi-paralyzed, therefore practically impossible for the team of coach Michael Magagnoli to reach Faenza in time for the duo. The game, in agreement between the two companies, should be recovered tomorrow evening. More details and official status will be available in the next few hours. The eventual game 2 should be played in Broni on the eve of Easter, but a postponement cannot be excluded because too little time would pass between one match and another. Finally, the eventual race 3 is scheduled for Thursday 21 April. Remember that the play out round is the best of 3 games, so whoever wins two is saved; while the loser would go to challenge in the second round the loser of the other challenge, between Dinamo Sassari and Akronos Moncalieri. The further loser will be relegated to Serie A2, together with Empoli, already relegated to the end of the regular season, because they came last. Broni, who finished the regular season in twelfth place, has the unfavorable home factor, because Faenza came just ahead of her, in eleventh position. –
