Bologna, 25 July 2021 – Robert Lewandowski won, for the second consecutive time, the prize of best footballer of the year in Bundesliga. The attacker of the Bavaria Monaco was awarded by the magazine Kicker through the vote of German journalists, winning 356 votes out of 563 total. The Pole was the author of an amazing season, in which he scored 41 league goals, breaking the record of Ger Mueller.
Lewandowski wanted to release some statements following the award’s victory: “I am aware that this is a great honor. It’s rare to win the Bundesliga Player Award for two seasons in a row. ”Runner-up is Thomas Mueller, his teammate at Bayern, while in third place is Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund.
