Fought match at PalaOltrepo, in the last quarter the greatest experience of the Delser Serie ended at 2-0. The applause of the home crowd for a positive year was written at the desk
VOGHERA
Autosped Castelnuovo Scrivia ends its adventure in the play offs. At the PalaOltrepo in Voghera, Delser Crich Udine, at the end of a hard-fought match, closes the semifinal series 2-0 and flies to the final promotion. The writers try until the end, after having recovered from +13, but they pay a complicated start and in the end the guests are more attentive, deservedly conquering the passage to the final act of the promotion race.
The Friulian formation starts better, escaping up to +5 (2-7), forcing coach Franco Balduzzi to ask for a suspension to reorganize his ideas. Not even the time out changes the inertia of the match that remains on the side of Udine, which presses and finds good solutions, in particular in the painting, where the girls of coach Massimo Riga hit, thanks also to precious offensive rebounds and consequent extra possessions. The advantage of the guests reaches the double figures: +13 (7-20). A couple of misunderstandings from Udine, who remain dry for 2’50 ”, allow Autosped to nibble something in the final of the first quarter. The Bcc plays too hastily, in an attempt to mend the tear, ending up losing too many balls, thus favoring Delser’s restarts that produce a 5-0. The Giraffes, however, respond with a 6-0. Castelnuovo begins to play more calmly and, slowly, goes back up to -5 (28-33), taking advantage of Udine’s poor streak from the free throw line, just 46% at 20 ‘.
Match reopened
After the long break, the game is completely reopened and 39-39 arrives in the 26th minute. In the last 4 ‘of the third period Udine still places a mini extension. But the Giraffes are not there and Gatti signs +1 (48-47). The final point to point, however, rewards the most attentive and precise Friulian women. The season for the Balduzzi girls ends, however, they receive the applause of the fans, who have arrived in good numbers at the Voghera stadium, which hosted the home matches of the Giraffes. Meanwhile, the under 19s from Castelnuovo qualify for the national final, scheduled in Battipaglia from 6 to 11 June. In the last two matches of the inter-zone concentration of Sora (Frosinone) the Giraffes of coach Stefano Martinelli beat Pink Bari (67-52) and Virtus Cagliari (62-42), thus gaining first place and access to the final act of the category championship.
