CBA Comprehensive | Xinjiang beats Beijing Enterprises and Shenzhen loses to Nanjing

The Xinjiang team secured a victory against the Beijing Enterprises in a thrilling CBA match, with foreign aid Jones leading the charge with an outstanding performance. The game, held as part of the 2023-2024 Chinese Men’s Basketball Professional League, saw the Xinjiang team emerge victorious with a score of 102:95.

Despite facing numerous lineup adjustments throughout the season, the Xinjiang team managed to establish an early lead in the first quarter, thanks to the hot hands of Qi Lin and Jones. However, the Beikong team mounted a comeback in the second quarter, taking a lead of 49:45 at halftime.

The game remained close throughout the second half, with Jones and Abdul Saramu stepping up to secure a crucial 7-point lead for the Xinjiang team in the final moments. With Qi Lin’s free throws sealing the win, the Xinjiang team claimed their third consecutive victory while handing their opponents a third straight defeat.

Following the game, Xinjiang team head coach Qiu Biao praised his team’s defensive effort and emphasized the importance of the new lineup finding its rhythm. Notably, Jones put up a remarkable performance, scoring 33 points, grabbing 19 rebounds, and dishing out 9 assists, narrowly missing out on a triple-double. Abdul Saramu and Qi Lin also contributed significantly with 13 points each.

In another CBA match on the same day, the Nanjing team emerged victorious against the Shenzhen team with a score of 111:106. Wang Lanyi stood out for the Nanjing team, scoring 28 points and leading his team to a comeback victory.

In the remaining games of the day, the Fujian team defeated the Ningbo team 126:93, the Guangsha team secured a win against the Shanxi team with a score of 110:98, and the Tianjin team emerged victorious against the Sichuan team with a score of 113:93.
