A new chapter of a great story: Cecilia Zandalasini returns to the USA. The Virtus Segafredo Bologna player has in fact signed a training camp contract with the Minnesota Lynx.
With the signed agreement, Zandalasini will therefore take part in the pre-season preparation of the American team, wearing his usual number 9 in the American League. Cecilia has already played with the Lynx, in 2017 and 2018, with the great satisfaction that came in his rookie year of winning the WNBA ring. For her, she returns to the “W” six years after the last game played: her career statistics speak of 32 games played for 5.3 points, 40% from two and 38% from three.
Zandalasini’s contractual agreement in the WNBA, as for many training camp contracts (including that of Lorela Cubaj with Atlanta, also valid for the training camp), certainly does not affect the near future of Zandalasini, who will regularly conclude the season at Virtus, with whom he signed in a contract renewal until 2026, announced by the club on 17 May 2023. A season to end in the best possible way, to then re-explore the American dream.
