Cioffi also remains without Pereyra: the “Tucu” will miss Salernitana and probably Bologna

UDINE. Beautiful packaging, with salvation discarded on the eve of Easter, and good quality, with yet another convincing performance on Empoli still in the eyes, but at the end of the Easter holidays it was the surprise that left a bad taste in the mouth. Because two days of absolute rest were not enough, including massages and instrumental checks – the last of which were carried out on the evening of Monday 18 April – to bring Roberto Pereyra back to the Juventus case in view of the recovery on Wednesday 20 April (at 18.45) at the Rizzi with Salernitana, a match in which the suspended Nahuel Molina will also be missing, as well as the injured Beto. Match that was entrusted to the Milanese Simone Sozza (with whom Udinese last lost 2-0 in Parma in January 2020), with Galetto and Vono assistants, Minelli fourth official and Di Paolo al Var with Paganessi deputy in the monitor room of Lissone.

The “Tucu” will not be there because he is still suffering due to the muscle strain felt in his left thigh on Saturday, when the Argentine collapsed in the full penalty area in the 62nd minute, after having tried the shot below to beat Vicario, finishing the his run on the billboard under the North. The substitution, carried out shortly after, avoided complications, but left the player with anxiety, only partially comforted by the exams.

From what he filters, Pereyra has not in fact suffered injuries, but a muscular problem that recommends caution and above all rest. That’s why he won’t be there tomorrow night, just as he should also be missing on Sunday in Bologna, in the away match before the recovery of the 27th in Florence and the match on May 1st with Inter.

It is therefore because of the calendar, with a game to be played every three days, that the medical and technical staff are evaluating what to do, with the imperative not to force recovery in order not to compromise Pereyra’s season finale.

Taking note of the situation, yesterday Gabriele Cioffi invested Tolgay Arslan with the role of substitute, exactly as had happened in Venice, when Pereyra watched Penzo’s match in the stands because he was disqualified. It will therefore be the Turkish player who will complete the median with Walace and Jean-Victor Makengo, with all due respect for a Lazar Samardzic who on Saturday, after scoring the spectacular 4-1 goal, had expressed his desire to play more.

For the rest of the Juventus team Cioffi is thinking of confirming the defense as a block with Silvestri in goal, Rodrigo Becao, Pablo Marì and Nehuen Perez, while in the median it will be Brandon Soppy who will replace Molina on the right, with Destiny Udogie confirmed on the left. In attack, Udinese will step up again on the tandem made up of Gerard Deulofeu and Isaac Success.
