There are 53,588 new infections from Covid recorded in the last 24 hours, according to the latest data provided by the Ministry of Health. On Saturday there were 70,803. 364,182 swabs carried out: the positivity rate therefore stands at 14.7% against 14.8 on Saturday. The victims are 118 instead, down from 129 yesterday. Intensive care is decreasing, but hospitalizations in ordinary wards are increasing.
On the other hand, 489 patients are hospitalized in intensive care4 less than on Saturday while the daily admissions are 42. The hospitalized in the ordinary wards return to over 10 thousand: 10,017, or 68 more than on Saturday.
The region with the largest number of cases today is Lazio with 6,533 infections, followed by Campania (+6,373), Lombardy (+6,371), Puglia (+4,929) and Veneto (+4,881).
