Moscow, December 27, 2021 – Covid data in chiaroscuro beyond national borders. If on the one hand in Germany the infections are decreasing, outside Europe, such as in Australia, they are registered new records of cases and deaths.
Germany
The data on Covid contagion in the Germany where the lockdown of the unvaccinated, partly for the fewer tests performed during the weekend. The data reported by the Robert Koch Institute signal 13,908 confirmed infections in the last 24 hours and another 69 deaths, which bring the bulletin to 7,005,289 cases with 110,433 victims and about 6,156,500 people healed after contracting Covid-19. The incidence per 100,000 inhabitants over seven days is 222.7 cases, down from previous days. There are approximately 738,400 active cases.
Russia
Confirmed in Russia in the last 24 hours 23,210 new cases of covid e 937 deaths, the lowest number of lethalities since October 8. The day before, the victims of Covid had been 968. In all, 305,155 patients died in Russia from the infection: this is now the fourth most serious budget in the world behind those of the USA, Brazil and India. In recent days, the number of Russian victims has in fact exceeded that declared by Mexico, equal to 298,759 fatal cases.
Australia
L’Australia registered a record of over 10 thousand cases in the last 24 hours: it is the first time that 10 thousand has been exceeded since the beginning of the pandemic: the Guardian reports, quoting the Australian Associated Press. The high number of infections in the states of New South Wales (6,324), Victoria (1,999) and South Australia (842) contributed to the new record. Meanwhile, St Vincent’s pathology laboratory in Sydney is once again in the media spotlight today for sending nearly 1,000 people wrong Covid test results: a total of 995 people received ‘negative’ tests, but in reality the outcome of the swabs has yet to be determined. Already yesterday the laboratory had communicated negative results to 400 people when in reality they were all positive.
