KV Oostende won 0-2 on the field of Royal Francs Borains on Wednesday evening in a catch-up match of the eighteenth matchday in the Challenger Pro League. It does such a great job at the bottom.

Both goals came deep in the second half. Daniel Perez opened the scoring at the Stade Robert Urbain in Boussu with a nice backheel (80′). Just two minutes later, Siebe Wylin doubled the visitors’ lead.

In the rankings, Ostend jumped from fifteenth and penultimate place, over Seraing and Lierse, and is now thirteenth with 19 points from 21 matches. Francs Borains is one place higher with 20 points.

Ostend announced earlier in the day that the club had been punished again by the KBVB Licensing Committee for violating the financial rules. The coastal team received a fine of 177,500 euros and a penalty point for next season. KVO already received a deduction of nine points for this season, later reduced to six points.
