BOLOGNA. A little less certainty, a few more indications to be taken into account between now and the end of the season. Having overcome the blanket of bitterness for the second consecutive defeat gained in the final minutes, Dinamo tries to rearrange ideas starting from priorities.
A matter of details. Just like the previous Sunday against Tortona, in the presence of the Unahotels Reggio Emilia the Sassari of coach Piero Bucchi gave up in a sprint after having fought and played on par for practically the whole match. The two matches therefore decided on the details: the offensive rebounds granted, for example, or a couple of misunderstandings on a defensive level that led the Emilian players (above all Cinciarini) to reach the iron in an exaggeratedly easy way. The gap between Banco di Sardegna and these two direct competitors, who occupy the fourth and fifth place at 24, is therefore very thin.
Waiting for Bilan. At the moment Dinamo has a clear and obvious problem: the inclusion of Miro Bilan. If the race with Tortona, which the long man arrived after just two days spent in Sassari, cannot be taken into consideration, the excellent work done in training in the following days – of which Bucchi had spoken on the eve of the Bologna race – it did not lead to appreciable improvements. Indeed, against Reggio Emilia, with his teammates who tried to involve him gradually and not obsessively serving him in the low post, the former Prometey player seemed even more out of context. Every secret of the Croatian center in Sassari has long been known: it is therefore reasonable to think that within a short time this new weapon will allow the team to recover the balance inevitably lost and to make the definitive leap in quality to be able to aim for the playoffs. . In the meantime, however, these two empty passes cost, accounts in hand, two fundamental victories.
Towards the playoffs. The last two defeats could have put an end to the hopes of the biancoblù to reach fourth or fifth place: Reggio Emilia and Tortona, both at 24, have the advantage in head-to-head clashes with Banco, who have 20 points and a game less (on the other hand against Virtus Bologna), but which should virtually recover 6 points compared to the two direct competitors. Under there, the situation is still quite tangled: Brindisi (22) has returned to success, while at least Pesaro has slowed down Varese’s pursuit and Venice only fell in the final at Virtus, after having at times dominated. Trieste and Trento are confirmed in free fall (which somewhat resizes the two external companies of Dinamo, but this is another matter), while Treviso has hit a blow and Naples, after the change of bench, has given some signals of vitality. And, speaking of vitality, on Sunday Fortitudo arrives in Sassari, which by breaking through Trieste has resumed believing in salvation. Then, in the second consecutive home match, Dinamo will host Milan, grappling with a 6-game tour de force in two weeks.
