On June 5th, the third stop of the 2021 China Athletics Street Tournament was held in Beijing Huaxi LIVE Wukesong Central Plaza. Shandong player Ding Bangchao won the men’s pole vault championship with a score of 5.40 meters.

The Beijing race attracted 10 pole vaulters from all over the country to participate. In the game, the Asian Championship champion Ding Bangchao used his tactics properly. He started from a height of 5.15 meters, and after successfully passing the pole in the second jump, Ding Bangchao chose the next height of 5.30 meters to avoid jumping and directly impacted at 5.40 meters. Ding Bangchao jumped over the crossbar for the first time after he had recharged. Chen Wenwen skipped shots in the second and at the same time refreshed his best score in the outdoor arena. Yao Jie and Huang Bokai all failed three jumps and withdrew from the championship. At this time, although Ding Bangchao and Chen Wenwen scored 5.40 meters, Ding Bangchao’s success rate was higher and dominant. At the next height of 5.50 meters, Ding Bangchao once again chose to skip the jump. Chen Wenwen hit 5.50 meters for three consecutive times and failed. Ding Bangchao “suggested” Ding Bangchao to lock the victory in advance. Ding Bangchao then failed to challenge the 5.60m triple jump and finally won the championship with 5.40m. Chen Wenwen won the second place and Yao Jie won the third place with 5.30m.
