MILAN. A double black smoke, both on the president and on the new statute. But something in Lega Serie A has moved in today’s assembly. On the subject of the new president, not even the second vote brought results: 19 blank ballots and a single vote in favor of the president of Confindustria Carlo Bonomi. “We didn’t burn it,” commented Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta. So much so that there would still be a good number of teams that, led by Milan and the Nerazzurri themselves, would be ready to vote for Bonomi in the next meeting to be held by the end of February. During the assembly, the clubs agreed on almost all the articles of the new statute, except for the one concerning the “management of non-audiovisual rights”, the part of commercial rights that is worth about 50 million and on which the clubs have not found the deal.
