Rome, 4 July 2021 – It will be the challenge between Italy e Spain, scheduled for Tuesday 6 July (kick-off at 21) in London, to kick off the semifinals of Euro 2020. The Azzurri, nothing short of exciting against Belgium, face the Red Furies, victorious over the Switzerland only after the penalty kicks. A vibrant match with an uncertain outcome is announced at Wembley, during which the two best attacks of the tournament will be compared (12 goals scored by the Iberians so far, nine scored by Insigne and his teammates). Unlike the national team of Roberto Mancini however the one led by Luis Enrique showed much less solidity in the back department, collecting five goals, against the two of Italy. The precedents are in perfect equality: 11 wins for each side and 15 draws. But be careful, because if we consider only the matches valid for a final phase of a European championship, the balance sheet smiles at the Azzurri, with the advantage of two two wins to one, with even three draws.
England chasing the first final
On paper, much less balance is announced in the other semifinal, the one between theEngland and the surprising Denmark. In the quarter-finals, Kane and associates demolished Ukraine 4-0 while the team coached by Kasper Hjulmand got the better of Czech Republic for 2-1. The match will be staged on Wednesday 7 July, at 21, at Wembley and this can only be an important factor for the National Three Lions, which is hunting for the first final in its history to a European. It will be the 14th time that the two selections will face each other: the last previous one smiled Denmark, set for 1-0 in a match valid for the Nations League.
