Johan Roijakkers will become the coach of Kortrijk Spurs next season. The 43-year-old Dutchman signed a four-season contract in West Flanders. Roijakkers was active as a player at Deurne Pioniers and PSV-Almonte before being transferred to Bree. He became national champion there in 2005.

The experienced Roijakkers has also built up a solid track record as a trainer. In 2011, he immediately became champion in his first year as head coach at the Slovakian first division club Prieyidza and was also voted coach of the year. A season later he signed with the German Göttingen, where he won the title in the second division, and then played for several years in the sub-top of the German first division. After a stint at Italian Varese, he started working as national coach at Saudi Arabia. Roijakkers is currently active as general manager of the Dutch Heroes Den Bosch.
