Women’s fashion returns to animate the city from 22 to 28 February, and does so with a full calendar of events, shows and both physical and digital appointments. A varied edition, made up not only of fashion shows but also of presentations accessible by professionals and also by the public. In addition to experiencing some of the exhibitions that will kick off on the occasion of Milano Moda Donna 2022, enthusiasts and onlookers will be able to follow the new collections through the milanofashionweek.cameramoda.it platform, which will also host a section dedicated to virtual showrooms.
From the return to the catwalk of Bottega Veneta, Diesel, Gucci, Trussardi and Plein Sport, to real temporary exhibitions around the city. Like “Beyond The Norm”, a hybrid event that combines fashion, artistic performance with the energy transition, which will come to life at the Mudec Museum and will be open to the public from 25 to 27 February from 9.30 to 18.30.
There will be a plunge into the sustainable future of fashion, seen through the eyes of new emerging talents who will be hosted by the Fashion Hub, a pole that will be inaugurated by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion on February 22 in a new location inside the ADI Design Museum. (Piazza Compasso d’Oro 1, entrance via Ceresio 7) and that it will be possible to visit from 23 to 28 February.
The projects that the Fashion Hub will present include “We Are Made in Italy” (Wami Collective), which will offer five designers the opportunity to present their collections; “Designers for Ethical Fashion”, which will address the importance of ethical and social fashion with a particular focus on disadvantaged women and immigration; “Designer for the Planet”, which will present the work of five brands that have dedicated their works to an analysis of the environmental sustainability criteria applied to the creations on display.
Even art, as well as design, will be protagonists in this edition of the Milan Fashion Week Women’s Collection thanks to two events. The first is the inauguration on February 24 of the personal exhibition of Hermann Nitsch, one of the greatest exponents of Viennese shareholding, curated by Lòrand Hegyi at the Galleria Gaburro in via Cerva 25 in Milan, which will be open to the public until April 30. ; from 25 to 27 February the rooms of Palazzo Crivelli will be open, called to host the presentation of the furnishings and wardrobe of the actress Valentina Cortese, which will be the subject of an auction on 1 and 2 March.
There will also be exclusive events with illustrious guests. In this regard, the event organized by Bulgari and Vogue Italia “Bulgari B.Zero1 Aurora Awards – Celebrating women and their talent” will be held on February 27 at Bocconi University: a hymn to female talent and the creativity of women who work in jewelry industry, celebrating the tradition of the Italian jewelry house. The event will see the participation of the actress Sharon Stone, the Italian Paralympic athlete Veronica Yoko Plebani and the pop legend Kylie Minogue, mirror of the cosmopolitan breath of an appointment like the Milan Fashion Week.
