“I absolutely agree in making the Italian Premier, following the model we see in England.” Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentis said this while commenting on the words of the president of the Football League Lorenzo Casini on the independence of the League from the FIGC following the model of the British Premier.
“I say we have been pursuing ideas like this for at least ten years – said De Laurentiis – there must be a time when something is created in Europe and it must last indefinitely.
