Sasa Kalajdzic also sought advice from ÖFB team boss Ralf Rangnick before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt. The 26-year-old said this on Wednesday at his presentation in Frankfurt. “I told the team boss that I wanted to do something different. He also didn’t like it when I didn’t play. He said right away that he thought it was cool and great with Frankfurt,” said Kalajdzic about the conversation with Rangnick.

The striker is joining Wolverhampton Wanderers on loan until the end of the season. Kalajdzic is also hoping to get match practice at Eintracht so that he can represent Austria at the European Championships in Germany (June 14th to July 14th). That could work for the Hessians after the departure of Randal Kolo Muani last summer.

“He (Rangnick, note) thinks I fit in really well. He said that I am emotional as a player and a person. Frankfurt is the best address because it is an emotional club – with many fans and passion,” reported Kalajdzic.

His teammates also reacted enthusiastically. The attacker, formerly active at VfB Stuttgart, pushed for a quick decision because his wife is heavily pregnant. She was on her way to Frankfurt on Wednesday, as Kalajdzic said.
