From Rold Belluno, double tour de force to Pineto

1152 kilometers. Multiplied by two. On Wednesday. Starting in the morning and returning home almost twenty hours later. With the games to be played at 20.30, in the most absolute uncertainty of their duration.
Under the heading “tour de force”, the trips that Da Rold Logistics will have to make up to Pineto, in Abruzzo, go by right.
The first is tomorrow, the second Wednesday of next week. It begins with the recovery of the championship valid as the first day of return, then space for the eighth of the final of the Italian Cup.

By the way, Lega Volley had granted the opportunity to play the matches 24 hours apart. In this way, with a single return, the Da Rold would have taken the field twice, sleeping one night in a hotel.
Pineto, however, said no, even when asked to bring forward the meeting time. From Belluno they do not make controversy, but they would have expected a relief. A question of sportsmanship.
PROGRAM
“Our opponents categorically refused to grant us the opportunity of close matches, which had already received the approval of the Lega Volley”, comments team manager Alessio Bortoluzzi. «It was enough for us to find an agreement with the Pineto, which did not happen. They didn’t want to know about playing on two consecutive days, in order to allow us to have a unique journey. And they have also been adamant about anticipating the time of the meetings. We could have returned to Belluno in easier times, but nothing to do ».
We must therefore adapt. So Da Rold Logistics immediately set to work to better plan the trip, without tiring the team too much. Because tomorrow there are precious points at stake at the leaders’ home, while in a week the goal is to reach the quarter-finals of the Cup.
“We will divide the journey into two blocks. We will stop after three hours, three and a half hours for the lunch break lasting about an hour and a half. In the afternoon, however, we will make a couple of stops, including a snack with tart. The arrival at the gym is expected about two hours before the match and we will take the opportunity to stretch our legs, waiting for the warm-up ».
Once the challenge is over, everyone is back on the bus to return to Belluno.
«We will arrive almost in the early hours of Thursday morning, also considering the obligatory stops. Among other things, you have to travel with two drivers. This pace will be held for two Wednesdays. Let’s say that the positive aspect is the savings on the hotel: if we had played on Sunday or two games in a row, without a doubt we would have slept one night in Pineto ».
AVAILABILITY
However, the Da Rold certainly does not cry on himself, quite the contrary.
“If we want to stabilize at certain levels, as the owners want, we need to get used to long and demanding trips”, highlights Bortoluzzi. However, someone’s work commitments risk leading to defections. “I doubt we’ll be full on both occasions. However we will see. Certainly tomorrow we will not have the two injured Candeago and Martinez ».
Among other things, in all this, the Belluno team on Sunday 6 February will go to the Marche to face Fano. Another trip not of short mileage. Luckily this Sunday is finally played at the Spes Arena, after more than a month away from the public friend. In fact, Geetit Bologna will arrive on the third return day.
