Two trevigiani buy tickets for the U20 European Championships scheduled in Tallin, Estonia, from 15 to 18 July. They are the hurdler Riccardo Ganz and the middle distance runner, still U18, Giovanni Lazzaro. The 18-year-old Ganz, resident of Vedelago, standard bearer of Team Treviso, coached by Fabio Ceccato, at the Italian Junior Championships in mid-June was bronze in the 400 obstacles in 53”01, pass for the European Championships. Giovanni Lazzaro, a student at the sports high school of Montebelluna, resident in Morgano, is the standard bearer of the Atl Quinto Mastella and is coached by Gianluca Vanin. Author of an indoor season (which brought him to the Italian title in the 800 in the hall) and a screaming outdoor season, he boasts a staff of 1’50”64 and has won the call-up for the U20 review, even if he is still 16 years old . –
