The winning formula cannot be changed. There will be 11 events proposed, midweek and accessible to everyone; with distances and differences in height that will satisfy agonists and simple amateurs. At the finish line, an excellent beer, a sausage sandwich and various raffle prizes.
SPORT, PROMOTION OF THE TERRITORY AND CONCRETE HELP FOR THOSE WHO ARE LESS LUCKY:
GoInUp is competitive spirit, for those aiming for high rankings, the desire to meet and spend time together, promotion of the territory with the maintenance of ancient paths and green balisages, but above all volunteering. All the organizing committees, supported by various local companies, will contribute to the charitable aim of building a structure for the Dappertutto association in Ponte di Paniga in Talamona. The funds raised will also be used to donate equipment and/or services to non-profit associations in the Morbegno district. Also confirmed this year is a group of walkers who will be accompanied by local people and the presence of Joelette from the Dappertutto association, whose availability as “mules” is requested.
THE FORMULA:
all tests will take place on Wednesday, starting at 8.00 pm. The registration fee for each individual test is €10, all participants will be offered a sandwich and sausage with beer or soft drink. This year too, €4 from each participant will be donated to charity. It will be possible to purchase the booklet of the 11 races, at the price of €110, by April 4th directly on the website www.goinupvertical.it. All those who join this promotion will receive a 2024 circuit t-shirt and registration for the off-circuit friendly trial.
NEWS & CONFIRMATIONS:
after 4 years of absence the spectacular Cech-Up will return as the opening stage, starting from the center of Traona and arriving in the hamlet of Bioggio; 4.1km and 500m positive altitude difference on an ancient cobbled street among the most characteristic of Lower Valtellina. The route of the Albaredo test for San Marco will change, which will no longer see the arrival in the Egolo mountain pasture, but near the Madonna delle Grazie. The calendar broadly confirms the tests carried out in the field last year. The 2nd Rickshaw up will take place on May 8th (Villapinta – Buglio in Monte), followed on the 22nd by the 6th Larg-Up (Cosio Valtellino/Regoledo – Sacco). On June 5th it will be the turn of the 5th Lave’nsù (Gerola Alta – Laveggiolo), while on the 19th of the same month the 1st Vertical Madonnina (Valle – Madonna delle Grazie) will be staged.
In the month of July, on the 3rd, the 5th Vertical Lino will take place (Ponte Bitto – Bema), followed on the 17th by the 5th Kurt-Up (Mellarolo – Rif. La Corte) and on the 31st by the 2nd Sostila Vertical (Sirta – Support her). On September 11th on the “Magic Mountain” overlooking Morbegno it will be time for Colmen Vertical (Morbegno/Desco – Cima Colmen), while on the 25th on the other bank of the Adda everyone will take part in the 2nd San Giorgio Vertical (Talamona – San Giorgio). Grand finale on October 9th with the 8th Arz-Up (Morbegno – Arzo). Awards ceremony for everyone on 18 October. Off the calendar there will be two “friendly races” which, although not officially included in the 2024 challenge, will share the same mission: 03 May 6th Pietro Vertical (Ardenno – Pioda) and 2 August Mirtillo Sprint (Rasura).
