In the return matches of the quarter-finals of the Europa League, the second European club cup, Roma beat Milan 2-1, while Atalanta lost to Liverpool 0-1. However, Atalanta won 3-0 in the first leg and therefore still advances to the semi-finals, like Roma.
For Roma, Gianluca Mancini scored in the 12th minute and Paulo Dybala in the 22nd. For much of the match he had to play with 10 players, following Zeki Çelik’s 31st-minute dismissal. At the end of the second half, in the 85th minute, Matteo Gabbia scored for Milan. In the match between Liverpool and Atalanta, Mohamed Salah scored from a penalty in the seventh minute.
In the other quarter-finals of the Europa League, Bayer Leverkusen – who recently won the German championship, the Bundesliga – drew 1-1 against West Ham United. Thanks to the result of the first leg, in which they won 2-0, they reached the semi-finals. Marseille won 4-2 on penalties against Benfica.
In the quarter-finals of the Conference League, the third most important European cup, Fiorentina won 2-0 against the Czechs Viktoria Plzen, after two extra times, and will play in the semi-final against Club Brugge.
