The men’s race was very close, with three athletes in the end within the space of a minute. For almost the entire race he led the trio made up of Giovanni De Bon and Gabriele Del Longo from Cadore and Michael Galassi from Carnia. On the final climb (located just under 4 kilometers from the finish line, in 600 meters it gains 300 meters of altitude), the three were caught by Federico Vecellio Patis from Auronza who managed to make the difference in the final descent and then crossing the finish line with arms raised, 23″ ahead of De Bon and 41″ ahead of Galassi. Completing the top five were Del Longo (+57”) and Elia Costa (+4’24”).
However, the victory among the girls was never in question: the Slovenian Lucija Krkoč dominated (in the past a protagonist at European and world level in mountain running) who at the finish line “risked” breaking the record of the track she belongs to. from 2017 to the Venetian Silvia Rampazzo: 1h21’24” was the time for Krkoč, just 18″ above Rampazzo’s time. On the second and third step of the podium were Martina De Silvestro from Belluno and Sara Nait from Friuli, about ten minutes behind. Completing the top five positions were Cecilia De Filippo and Camilla Martignon.
