Locatelli and Prestia drag Raschiani to the European cup A gold and a silver

A team gold with Matilde Locatelli in the junior relay and an individual silver with Angelica Prestia from Pavia are the results achieved by the athletes of the Raschiani Triathlon Pavese at the European Triathlon Cup held in Caorle. Locatelli together with his national team mates Euan De Nigro, Mìyral Greco and Fiorenzo Angelini won the Mixed Relay and it was she who crossed the finish line first. After four very tense fractions that recorded more than one change at the head of the race, Locatelli pushed to precede everyone, with a total time of 1h21’15, preceding Switzerland 1 and Austria 1.

Prestia, on the other hand, fought for the victory with her national team mate Carlotta Missaglia, who only distanced her in the final sprint. “I am very happy with my debut in the European Cup with the big teams – explains the athlete from Linarolo coached by Luigi Zanlungo from Pavia – I did not start well in the swimming stage but I managed to recover in the last part of the stage and at the first change. so as to be able to enter the leading group. The pace was very high and, even if I’m not used to it, I managed to stay with the others and get off the bike in a good position. A good second transition allowed me to be in second position in the run and so I started to set my pace together with Carlotta. Four of us left to fight for the podium, Carlotta and I helped each other, we made many changes of pace to get ahead of the opponents, we tried to the end and managed to get a first and a second place.
