Maserati, by 2025 each model will have a 100% electric variant

Maserati unveils unprecedented details of its electrification plan. All future 100% electric models of the Trident will be part of the “Folgore” range: the first battery-powered car will be the new GranTurismo, of which the brand has anticipated the first official teaser photos. The car – which will also be offered with a thermal engine – will be produced at the Mirafiori production center and will debut on the market in 2023. It should be remembered that all Maseratis will be developed, engineered and assembled in Italy.

However, the new Grecale SUV – which will be officially presented on March 22 – will also be available in the electric version during 2023. And by 2025 all Trident models will have a zero-emission variant on the exhaust: between 2024 and 2025 it will be the turn of the super sports MC20, the next sport sedan Quattroporte, as well as the second generation of the large-suv Levante (Ghibli, on the other hand, will leave the scene without having heirs).

Quattroporte and Levante, in particular, will be marketed exclusively with electric powertrain. Not only that, according to the company’s plans, in 2030 the entire Maserati range will be fully electric. In particular, the electron GranTurismo will use 3 electric motors, capable of a combined power of over 1,200 HP, will have a maximum speed of over 300 km / h and will be able to sprint on the canonical 0-100 km / h in just over 2 seconds.
