The World Championships in Fukuoka were mixed for the Austrian Swimming Association (OSV). While three medals were celebrated in synchronized swimming and performances in open water and diving remained within the realms of possibility, this was not the case in pool swimming. “The expectations were much higher,” admitted OSV sports director Walter Bär.
