N.B.A. Peerless Austin Reaves leads the LA Lakers (without LeBron James) past Milwaukee after two overtimes

The LA Lakers defeated Milwaukee (124-128) on Tuesday in the NBA after two extra innings. Golden State was able to win again after two defeats. Miami was screwed (92-113).

The Lakers twice found themselves behind by nineteen points in Milwaukee. Without LeBron James, who is recovering from an ankle injury, Anthony Davis rose. The center scored 34 points and 23 rebounds and gave the Lakers a victory based on character. Austin Reaves achieved a triple-double (29 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists). This also applied to Giannis Antetokounmpo (29 points, 21 rebounds and 11 assists) for the home team.

The Lakers were not in the lead at any point in regular time, but were strongest in overtime. They maintain their ninth place in the Western Conference. Milwaukee is second in the East, behind untouchable Boston.

Oklahoma City wins again

Oklahoma City, meanwhile, remains on a roll. The Thunder defeated New Orleans 112-119 on Tuesday. It ranks second in the west but one win less than leader Denver. Jalen Williams (26 pts), Josh Giddey (25 pts) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (24 pts) were decisive. New Orleans drops to fifth place due to the defeat, with one more loss than the LA Clippers, number four.

Golden State took full advantage in Miami (92-113) thanks to star players Klay Thompson (28 points) and Stephen Curry (17 points). The Warriors are only tenth in the west, the last qualifying spot for the jump-offs. Miami is seventh in the East.
