On Saturday the third round of the provincial championship of amateur cycling of Csain (with organization of the AS) took place over the distance of 78 kilometers. One hundred runners at the start. The successes went to Alberto Nardin in the first start where the categories of rookies, juniors, seniors and veterans were competing, while in the second start, success of Alessandro Raviolo, The course saw the athletes engaged five times on the Busano, Favria, Front circuit for return to Busano. In the first start, the race is decided on the penultimate lap after the various escape attempts were all canceled by the group’s reaction. It was a shot by Alberto Nardin from Cuneo who managed to take off in the stretch between Front and Busano. At the start of the last lap of the race he already had a good margin on the peloton (at least thirty seconds).

The reaction of the group led to nothing and the winner presented himself alone in via Valperga in Busano. Nardin thus imposed himself with his arms raised, employing an hour and forty-five with an hourly average of 44,570. The place of honor was for Riccardo Rinaldi who reached over a minute, third step of the podium for Raffaele Barra.

The second start – reserved for the less young – saw the breakaway that characterized the race from the second day around. Alessandro Raviolo and Alessandro Locatelli took off in two and always managed to maintain a good margin over the group, about minute and thirty seconds. Group that managed only in the final to reduce the disadvantage with the pursuers who were distributed in different groups. The success was decided by the two-man sprint that saw the Moncalierese Raviolo excel by a few centimeters over Locatelli. In this second race the winner took one hour and forty-nine minutes; the average was 42,930. The other riders arrived in dribs and drabs with Maurizio Melis who finished third fifty seconds from the first two.

In the super gentlemen category the Valpergene Nuccio Bonetto bearer of the Sutalatur bike of Salassa finished fifteenth overall. Alberto Nardin, the winner of the most important race at the end of the race, commented on the success as follows: «I am very happy with my victory; I was able to take advantage of an indecision of the group to gain an advantage during the fourth lap and once I found myself alone I continued decisively towards the finish line. Nice and hard-fought race but in my opinion it was conditioned by both the heat and the wind which were decisive ».
