A result exceeding the rosiest expectations, also in consideration of the pre-race difficulties, with even a change of car a few hours before the start.
«Fantastic weekend, even if it didn’t start in the best way – says Nicelli – during the tests on Thursday with the new Clio rally 4, which I should have brought to the race debut, an unsolvable technical problem occurred, but the team, just to see us at the start, he gave me the opportunity to line up with the Peugeot 208 rally 4 ». A heart-pounding debut, which created some concern: «It was my first time with a Rally 4, but even if I only tried it at the shakedown I immediately found an excellent feeling – explains Nicelli – I managed to set some interesting times already on the first tests and when I saw that we were continuing to climb positions in the absolute, I no longer set myself limits ». The strong stradellino driver was making his debut on the roads of the 4 Regions: “I want to thank the Scacco Matto team who allowed me to be at the start despite the problem I had and gave me a truly top car – underlines Nicelli – but also my navigator Pieri always impeccable, all the collaborators and sponsors ». This weekend, Nicelli will be at the Rally della Marca, for the Renault Clio Trophy. –
