the attacker

In the Broni aiming to win the Second Category championship, the young striker Alessandro Padovan is making a name for himself. The 23-year-old striker from Pinarolo has already signed 6 goals and wants to add to his booty, with the intention of combining personal satisfaction with the collective goal: “This year I want to reach at least double figures, I made a bet with my partner Bruschi in which I raised the bar to 20 goals, and I hope to win it – he explains smiling at Broni. We know what our goal is and we will try to achieve it. There is no shortage of equipped teams, but we are convinced of our strength ».

Padovan was born in Verona, and after living in Rozzano, at the age of 7 he moved to Oltrepo with his family: «As a child I used to swim, then at 7 I started playing football, in Retorbido and Bressana. At the youth level I also had an experience in Derthona, in the regional juniores. My debut in the first team took place in the Bastida in Promotion, but I played little due to a bad knee injury. Then I went to Apos, in the Piedmontese Prima with San Giuliano Nuovo and I have been here in Broni for two years. Last season we stopped immediately for Covid, this is my first real year in Broni ».

Milan passion

First classic striker («physical strength is my main quality»), Padovan has always been a Milan fan: «Milan is a family passion. My idol has always been Kakà, today I admire Lewandowski (Polish striker from Bayern Munich) and Ibrahimovic ». The 23-year-old Broni striker works in the Zootechnical company in Verrua Po and in the football field he confesses that he wants to try to climb some categories: «The aspiration to play in higher leagues is there, I don’t hide it. I think I need a shot from the point of view of mentality, I have to believe more in myself. A qualitative leap that I think I can make here in Broni, where I feel everyone’s trust ». Starting with coach Didi Bernini, with whom Padovan has established an excellent feeling: «Mister Bernini works well on the pitch and knows how to manage the dressing room well. There is also harmony with the assistant coach Civardi. Then, compared to the other teams, we have the privilege of playing in a stadium that is rarely found in these categories and Broni’s audience gives us great energy ». On Sunday, in the last round of the first leg, Broni will be engaged on the Real Torre field, and if successful they would overtake the Rivanazzanese, who precedes the Rossoneri by one point, but on Sunday they will observe the rest: “I know many players from Riva , with whom I have played in the past years, I know how strong they are. Nice are also proving to be an excellent team and I do not forget Real Torre, with whom we will compete on Sunday. There are valuable opponents, but we have to think about ourselves. We are improving game after game and we have a good group, in which there are no differences between the owners and those who start from the bench ». –
