ROME, MAY 21 – The Italian males’s and girls’s four-man crew gained the Paris 2024 Games. It is a historic first for Italians, and for males it’s a return to Italy for the Olympics after failing to qualify for Tokyo 2020. In the Final Olympic Qualification Regatta in rowing, in Lucerne (Switzerland), each quartets composed by Matteo Lodo, Giovanni Abagnale, Giuseppe Vicino and Nicholas Kohl gained the ultimate, beating Switzerland once more. Germany, each eight ladies (Giorgia Pelacchi, Linda De Filippis, Alice Gnatta, Aisha Rocek, Alice Codato, Silvia Terrazzi, Elisa Mondelli, Veronica Bumbaca and Emanuele Capponi), surpassing Denmark and China. At the tip of the day, eight males (Matteo Della Valle, Jacopo Frigerio, Emanuele Gaetani Liseo, Salvatore Monfrecola, Davide Verità, Gennaro Di Mauro, Leonardo Pietra Caprina, Vincenzo Abbagnale and Alessandra Faella) managed to win the move, beating Canada. on the finish of the image in second place behind the USA.
