Too many errors in LFC

After the break, Liverpool initially came back better, but the shots remained harmless. After around ten minutes, Arsenal took majority control again. While Odegaard (52nd) and Havertz (63rd) missed chances, colleague Martinelli did better: The Argentine took advantage of a catastrophic mistake by Virgil van Dijk and Alisson to give the Gunners the lead again.

Liverpool continued to look strangely sedate and uninspired, a long-range shot from Alexis Mac Allister was the most dangerous finish (77′). The LFC was even lucky not to have lost even more. Jakub Kiwior headed, completely free, into the arms of Alisson (84′). Shortly before the end, Liverpool’s Ibrahima Konaté had to leave the field with a yellow-red card (87th). Trossard ensured the final score with a fine individual performance in stoppage time.
