Saint Etienne, smoke bombs on the field after the goal in the derby: double disqualification at the Curva

In a very electric Rhone derby that ended 1-1 on 3 October against Olympique Lyon, supporters of the Greens of Saint Etienne launched two smoke bombs on Geoffroy-Guichard’s lawn. Also, one of them entered the green rectangle after Wahbi Khazri’s draw right at the end of the match.

A behavior that the governing bodies of French football did not like. In fact, after the meeting of the disciplinary commission, the Jean Snella grandstand (the South curve of the Saint Etienne) received the sanction of two closed curve matches, even if the sanction is suspended and will come into force if there are other accidents. Fans will then be able to head to the stadium on Friday for a decisive match against Angers.
