Tigres Rescues a Result in the Liga MX
Tigres once again found themselves having to come from behind to rescue a result in the Liga MX, as they managed to get a 1-1 draw against Gallos de Querétaro. The match saw the cats overcoming a 1-0 deficit and facing strong resistance from the opposition, particularly the impressive performance of goalkeeper Fernando Tapia.
The turnaround began with a penalty taken by Nico Ibáñez, which was saved by the heroic Tapia in the first half. The penalty was awarded for a handball committed by defender Raúl Sandoval, and despite Tigres’ numerous attacking opportunities, Gallos had taken the lead through an own goal by Guido Pizarro.
Tigres continued to press and dominate the field, with Tapia making crucial saves to deny their attempts. However, the changes made by coach Robert Dante Siboldi paid off, as Juan Pablo Vigón delivered a cross to Nico Ibáñez, who unselfishly passed the ball to Oziel Herrera for the equalizing goal.
Despite their efforts, Tigres were unable to find a winning goal, with goalkeeper Tapia once again proving to be a formidable obstacle. The match ended with a dramatic moment as Gallos midfielder Martín Río was sent off for a double warning, leaving the team to defend with 10 men in the final moments.
Overall, it was a hard-fought match with Tigres showing resilience to rescue a result, while Gallos put up a strong defensive display.
