At the end of a match with little competitive value, Monza adds the precious scalp of the Napoli Champion of Italy to its collection.

– Spalletti, despite having preached maximum commitment from his team, understandably gives space from the first minute to several second lines, guaranteeing Bereszynski’s debut in Serie A with the Neapolitan shirt and the first game as owner for the product of the Zerbin nursery. If the responses from the second lines are fluctuating, much more worrying was the test in the construction phase of Elmas, Zielinski and Lobotka, today more in trouble than usual in creating dangerous chances. Rrahmani’s performance can also be reviewed, who gets burned by Mota on the occasion of the second goal;
– In short, a decidedly subdued test by the leaders, which at this point of the season is largely understandable: when the head is no longer 100% on the piece (and after a historic scudetto won well in advance, the opposite would have been strange) and the legs can no longer handle very high rhythms, after an entire season played at an intensity incomparable for the others, certain performances are just around the corner. An inevitable defeat, especially when you are unable to try different solutions: if the connections are more difficult than usual, why persist with the phrasing right into the penalty area without ever attempting to finish from outside the area?
