The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Competitive Sports Training Center team emerged victorious in the women’s team pursuit competition at the 2023-2024 National Speed Skating Championship held at the Beijing National Speed Skating Arena on March 22.
The trio of Han Mei, Dai Wenjie, and Wang Mengyuan showcased their skills and teamwork to clinch the championship with an impressive time of 3 minutes, 08 seconds, and 46 seconds. Their exceptional performance earned them the top spot on the podium and accolades from spectators and fellow competitors alike.
In second place was the team from the Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau Winter Sports Center, consisting of Jiang Jiamin, Zhou Jiarong, and Chen Aoyu. They finished just behind the champions with a time of 3 minutes, 09 seconds, and 33 seconds, demonstrating their grit and determination on the ice.
Rounding out the podium in third place was the Winter Sports Management Center Team of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Sports Bureau, represented by Wang Caihong, Zhang Xiaoping, and Deng Tianxin. Despite tough competition, they managed to secure third place with a time of 3 minutes, 12 seconds, and 84 seconds.
Among the other notable teams competing was the Jilin Provincial Sports Bureau Ice Sports Management Center Team, comprising Xin Yuxin, Liu Yunqi, and Fei Tianfeng, who finished in sixth place. Though they faced stiff opposition, the team showcased their skills and determination throughout the competition.
