Summary of the Querétaro vs Necaxa match (1-1). GOALS

Necaxa remains undefeated with a dramatic draw against Querétaro

Necaxa managed to remain undefeated in the Clausura 2024 after rescuing an agonizing draw away from Querétaro (1-1). An own goal from Emilio Martínez and an outstanding shot from Diego Gómez added to the score at the La Corregidora Stadium.

The Gallos managed to open the scoring in the 25th minute, after Raúl Sandoval managed to get hold of the ball and later finished off on goal. However, the ball bounced off the chest of the hydrocalids’ right back Emilio Martínez and moments later pierced Ezequiel Unsaín’s net.

Subsequently, the local team was left with 10 players after the expulsion of Miguel Barbieri at minute 45’+5. In the first instance, the Argentine defender committed a foul on Alejandro Andrade and three minutes later he left the field of play for slapping Edgar Méndez.

With time as a factor against them, those led by Eduardo Fentanes turned forward to try to draw the score. A feat that they finally achieved thanks to a cannon shot into the corner by Mexican midfielder Diego Gómez (90’+3).

Even though the national element ended up slipping during his shot, the stroke rose to be placed in an area unreachable by Fernando Tapia. In this way, Querétaro continues without knowing victory in Clausura 2024, while Necaxa managed to rescue its undefeated record in an agonizing way.
