Piedmont Cup, Second category Sunday in Albiano we return to play

First official match of 2022 in Canavese amateur football. With a cup up for grabs.
This Sunday the final of the Second and Third Category Piedmont Cup will be played. Organized by the local Committee of Ivrea, at 3 pm on the pitch of Albiano d’Ivrea, an authentic billiard table, Agliè Valle Sacra and Junior Torrazza will compete for the first official trophy of 2022. They are both Second category teams.
Loaded and determined, coach of the Alladi, Vitaliano Giaquinto, explains: «We are ready to take the field again for an official match – says Giaquinto -. The last time we played a real match was on Sunday 19th December, when we won 2-1 against Sciolze. After that we always did only training and a couple of friendlies: against the Promotion Quincitava there was a 0-2 defeat, as well as against the First category Bajo Dora things did not go well, because we were beaten 1-2, but in both cases the result mattered little or nothing. We wanted to see – continues Giaquinto – the general condition of the team and find the match pace among the players as soon as possible, which had been missing for a while ».
The alladiese coach against Junior Torrazza will not be able to count on the typical formation, given the absences due to disqualification of midfielder Fabio Fontana and due to injury to Erik Marangone and Marco Borgato in defense, while there is some faint hope of recovering the striker Francesco Sassi, as Giaquinto explains: «This Friday we will make one more last attempt with Sassi, hoping he has recovered from the injury – Giaquinto says -. Junior Torrazza’s number one danger is attacking midfielder Nicolò Trusciglio, whom I had with me during my experience at Livorno Ferraris and I know what he can give to the team. Unfortunately we will not be complete, but Dennis Pescetto and Riccardo Ferrero will return to defense in midfield ».
L’Aglié Valle Sacra looks for the next third in this competition and, curiosity, the other two occasions have always triumphed on the pitch of Albiano d’Ivrea. –
