The coach of the men’s D Salvadego: «Everyone can hope to reach A3. My team will be the youngest in the group, but the boys are working well “

«The collaboration between Belluno and Spes? Fundamental for Belluno men’s volleyball. It solves many problems and offers youngsters from both clubs the opportunity to approach the A3 series team with the aim, one day, of being able to be part of it ».

Andrea Salvadego, the coach who has been entrusted with the leadership of the men’s Serie D Volleyball Belluno, has been at work for a couple of weeks with a very young group made up almost entirely of Under 19 boys. Most of them come from the nursery of the Spes Belluno of the president Fabiana Bianchini, with whom the company led by Sandro Da Rold has entered into an important collaboration in recent weeks.

“We will in all likelihood be the team with the lowest age of the whole Serie D group”, explains coach Salvadego, “because the same guys, in essence, will also participate in the Under 19 championship. In recent years I have followed the little ones of the Belluno Volleyball team with the aim of developing new recruits. I believe that this Under 19 group can aim to become the flagship of the club, because it is made up of good young people who are doing their best ».

During these first two weeks of preparation, the Paduan coach Gigi Schiavon visited the group of coach Salvadego several times and was entrusted with the role of technical supervisor of the young volleyball players from Belluno.

«His presence», Salvadego comments, «was of support to the boys. The players work hard, they are good and willing. We will have to work on many aspects, first of all that of experience, which we will probably pay by comparing ourselves with teams made up of players in their thirties. But if we know how to work well on managing the ball and the game then we can have our say ».

The men’s Serie D team from the capital will not take part in the Veneto Cup (which takes off on Saturday 2 October and sees all the other Serie C and D teams from Belluno at the starting line).

«But we have already planned a series of friendlies», concludes the coach from Belluno, «first of all the one with Zoris Furmenti’s Serie C team. We will play this Tuesday at 8 pm at the Spes Arena and for us it will be a good test ».

Currently the Serie D squad consists of Fiodar and Stefano Guolla, Matteo Galliani, Elia Fraccaro, Raffaello Moro, Cristian Cesa, Joannis Devranis, Mattia De Col, Mattia Salti, Samuele Prest, Lorenzo Lori and Federico Pavei. Coach Salvadego’s boys will debut in the league on Saturday 6 November in San Giorgio in Bosco against Astra, while they will play their first home game seven days later, at 19.30 at Spes Arena, against Kosmos.
