The recovery of the tenth and final day of the mini group B1 between Savigliano and Alto Canavese will be played this evening, Friday 2 April, at 9 pm, a very important challenge for the ranking of the upper Canavese.

The Alto Canavese is leaders with 18 points, the same as Ciriè (who must recover three games, against the two of the Alto Canavese). Savigliano is at 17, with two games to catch up. Ciriè also plays tomorrow, Saturday 3 with Acqui Terme at home. Then Ciriè plays on Saturday 10, always at home, with Savigliano and again against Acqui Terme, away on Saturday 17 April. Alto Canavese must also recover against Acqui.

All to decide the ranking, then. The regulation is the same as that of the women’s B2 series: quarterfinals, semifinals and final, then the losers of the final will still have a chance to go to A3.

The week began with the molecular swabs that established the negativity of the whole team group and, consequently, the resumption of training last Monday, March 29, then continued on Tuesday 30 and yesterday, Thursday 1 April with exercises with the ball, as told by the gang Andrea Grosjacques, 30 years old from Aosta, a physical education teacher by profession: «This week we have worked a lot especially on two aspects: the counterattack and the defensive phase. We know that a very tough match will be waiting for us with Savigliano: their gym is very large, we must know how to take points of reference right away and play with concentration at the highest levels. Fortunately – says Grosjacques – physically and mentally we are fine, even after the recovery of the last injuries and the opposite Claudio Avalle, completely recovered from the physical problem that had kept him out against Acqui Terme. We are ready for the challenge – says Grosjacques – knowing full well that we will also face a very strong team: they have been playing together for many years, they know each other perfectly and it will not be easy to win. Already in the first leg match, at PalaCuorgnè, we struggled to get the better of the tie break, on Friday we know what we are up against. Compared to the last matches of the first phase – explains Grosjacques – we will have to do better in all the fundamentals, we are focused only on our game, then we will only have to think about the next recovery, against Acqui Terme, another fundamental challenge, not to be wrong for any reason world“. –
