It will be a season finale to remember for the Artistic Skating Academy of Angri which in the first outing, after the long break linked to the health emergency due to the pandemic, collected medals and awards at the Uisp regional championships that took place in Volla. The prolonged period of inactivity did not stop the desire to excel of the athletes dear to the association chaired by Anna Bove which for years has been coordinating and carrying on an important tradition in the city sports scene.
The cohesion between the top management, coaches and athletes represents an added value for the Angrese company that carries out its activities at the Gesù Bambino sports center, in the area on the border between the territories of Angri and Sant’Antonio Abate. In recent months the successes that have brought the association to the top of regional figure skating have been built in the headquarters of the Academy. “We come from a long period of activity,” says vice president Carlo D’Antuono. “The athletes were forced to stop for several months due to the restrictions for Covid, however, the passion did not fade and when the green light for training came, everything resumed where it left off with the usual passion and the strong determination that is the basis of this discipline ».
The successes came in different categories starting from Formula F1D which consolidated Francesca’s title Head, in the F3C category Maria Chiara triumphed Berazzi, while in the F2D category the highest step of the podium was occupied by Marika Esposito with other athletes from Anna Bove’s team who placed well with Annunziata Rosanova and Paola Testa. In the F4C category, the best prize was awarded to the athlete Chiara The slave. Victories that have allowed the coach Rosaria D’Antuono to see the sacrifices of hours of work carried out under a scorching sun and in compliance with all the rules imposed by the federation for sporting practice rewarded. «The credit goes to the girls and the coach – confirms the president Anna Bove -. It was not easy to resume after so many months and, instead, they have shown a strong attachment to our association and to this discipline which requires countless sacrifices especially in our case since the workouts are carried out outdoors at any time of the year and with the difficulties that follow “.
The long stopping phase for the virus now seems to be behind us for the Artistic Skating Academy of Angri which already at the first exit has shown that it has athletes capable of hoisting themselves on the podium and obtaining great awards.
