Of course the marble fireplaces of certain Haussmann apartments can become very honorable football goals. Of course the facades of these same apartments would ask nothing better than to be climbed at night by mountaineers in love with gray asphalt. These crazy and poetic ideas can be found in the very pretty collaborative work Le sport dans la ville, published by Editions de La Martinière.

Through 43 colorful and graphic illustrations, the members of the collective The Parisianer, created in 2013 and modeled on the New Yorker model, have transposed all the Olympic disciplines into the daily life of the capital: the metro bars become supports for the breakers, when the access gates are like hedges that hurried workers happily cross. An initiative to be found in bookstores and on site on the gates of Paris City Hall until April 30.

“Sport in the city” by The Parisianer, 64 pages, editions of La Martinière, €25.
