THE AGREEMENT
Cat Vigevano, a club that acts as the youth sector of the Vigevano Basketball, will join the group of 7 Lombard clubs that collaborate with Olimpia Milano for the nurseries. The project is called Olimpia Academy and in the first phase, it sees the involvement of seven selected companies on the regional territory: CBC Show Camp Basket School Corbetta, Cat Vigevano, Malaspina Sport Team San Felice-Milano, Milano3 Basket Basiglio, Pallacanestro Crema, Social Osa Milano , Sanga’s Tigers Milan.
«Vigevano – said the director responsible for the youth sector of Olimpia, Davide Losi – is a very important place for Lombard basketball. The idea for this project was born years ago, but we never had the chance to make it operational. In the months of the pandemic we invented different ways and we took some time to do something good and useful for Lombard basketball. It is a medium to long term project. We have three-year contracts with partners. We look forward to renewing them. We tried to create something concrete. It is not an initiative that will remain on paper or that has the aim of being propaganda. It is an initiative that involves technical collaboration. Olimpia will be present in Vigevano and in the other six centers with its staff. It is important from a technical point of view but also from a style and values. We looked for serious companies that had a style and a long-standing reputation. We approach this initiative with the arrogance of explaining to others how to do their job, but we will try to confront each other by trying to improve each other. Mutual improvement can only take place with the exchange of experiences and training ». –
