Czech women’s water polo players took twelfth place in their return to the European Championships after 26 years. The girls coached by Marko Fügner and Ivan Drenko lost to Germany 12:15 in their final duel for 11th place at the tournament in Eindhoven. The Czech women’s water polo players at the EC won the opening matches against Romania and Turkey, and despite the defeat at the end of the group with Serbia, they advanced to the round of 16. In it, Hungary was not enough to beat another favorite and subsequently lost both duels for the final position with Israel and Germany.
