Kristin Juszczyk, the designer behind the striking coats worn by Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift, has signed an exclusive contract with the NFL. The 29-year-old designer, who is married to San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk, has seen her popularity soar after her creations were sported by celebrities and influencers, including the Chiefs quarterback’s wife and the pop star.
During the wild card round, Swift and Mahomes wore large Kansas City coats designed by Juszczyk, creating a huge stir and leaving a lasting impact on the fashion scene. The popularity of the coats led to an increase in Juszczyk’s Instagram following by over 1,476% compared to the previous season, now boasting 864 thousand followers.
Following the success of her designs, Juszczyk’s contract with the NFL will allow her to incorporate league logos into her creations, making them official merchandise of the league. The exact amount of the contract has not been disclosed.
In addition to Swift and Mahomes, other celebrities such as Olympic medalist Simone Biles and model Olivia Culpo have also donned designs by Juszczyk. Most recently, she created a custom jacket for actor Taylor Lautner at a San Francisco game against Detroit, adding to her growing list of high-profile clients.
In an interview, Juszczyk revealed that her inspiration for the garments comes from a desire to create pieces that women feel comfortable and fashionable wearing in their daily lives. With the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII between the Chiefs and the 49ers, Juszczyk’s designs are expected to receive even more visibility, representing both a professional opportunity and an emotional challenge due to her personal connection with both teams.
The impact of her creations has not only influenced fashion but also contributed to an economic benefit of USD 331 million for the NFL. With her innovative designs and growing success, it’s clear that Juszczyk’s influence continues to extend far beyond the world of sports and entertainment.
