One of the heroes of the rossoblù scudetto has no doubts about the challenge: “Open race”
CAGLIARI. Bobo Gori is a former special double from Cagliari and Juventus, as he won the Scudetto wearing the jerseys of both teams. Before landing on the island, he also won two championships with Inter. But if you ask him what the best memory is, he has no doubts. «The Scudetto of Cagliari. Why unexpected and because we managed to overcome all the great squadrons of the North. And I was among the protagonists ».
His two teams meet at the Unipol Arena and he, with his heart still leaning a little towards the rossoblù, insinuates doubts about the final result. «If we were to take into consideration the values on the pitch, the end should be taken for granted: Juventus wins. But I think it won’t be easy for Allegri. It will be an open game ».
The former fake rossoblù center forward explains. «Juventus have had a fluctuating season and Cagliari have shown on other occasions that they can fight with profit even with the strongest teams in the league. This especially in the second round after fixing some things, in particular the defense. People like Joao Pedro or Pavoletti can put any defense in difficulty ».
Having said that, however, Bobo Gori does not spare the criticisms of both one and the other company. «Unfortunately Cagliari has been suffering for some years, always there on the verge of relegation. There are some basic errors that are clear. I am not accusing President Giulini, who seems to me to be spared no investments, if anything, it is the technical sector that did not shine in building the team ».
And Juve? The speech is very similar. «In the meantime – she explains – it must be said that after winning nine league titles in a row it is also normal for the ball to pass to others. . Interest in football would suffer a lot. In addition to suffering financially, also in this case the technical choices of the company were not brilliant, starting with the rotation of the coaches: three in three seasons. In a top team such things can have negative consequences ».
Gori has not returned to Sardinia for some years. As a 76-year-old he enjoys his pension in Milan, with a reserved table at the family restaurant where he spent many years :: The Pistoia hills. «I gave up everything. Now my sister and nephew work there. Many players always arrive here, and so it happens to have a few more chat and remember the golden years. For me, however, the best memory is always Cagliari and that impossible championship won with Albertosi, Riva and the others. I was lucky because by leaving Inter I found the right environment and a wonderful island ».
