When was the turning point?
«We had some difficult moments but after the stop due to the covid we reacted. We knew we had the means to do well and we knew how to exploit them ».
When did you realize that despite the difficulties the goal was possible?
«Only the last step is missing which obviously must be tackled with the utmost concentration as we have done so far. We understood that the goal was possible when the club and the coach had faith in us. They believed in the group we are and all together we proved they were right ».
You have been wearing the captain’s armband for several days, is it an incentive to improve?
“Wearing the armband is a lot to me. I’m Sardinian, I grew up here, I feel at home. It is certainly a responsibility and I will try to do it in the best possible way, but always remaining myself ».
Tomorrow with the Ducato one point is enough, be careful not to let your guard down?
«Absolutely, maximum concentration up to 95 ‘. We have made a wonderful journey and we must close it in the best way ».
What do you feel like saying to the management and the coach who have had the great merit of supporting you throughout the championship with great passion and trust?
«Thanks is not enough. They believed in us, they saw potential in the group and they were right. It was an unforgettable season for a thousand reasons. I will carry this experience within me hoping it will be only the first of many ».
