TURIN. Federico Coppitelli is the new coach of Torino’s Primavera. It was in the air and in the afternoon the official status also arrived: he takes the place of Marcello Cottafava wanted last summer by the sporting director Davide Vagnati. Urbano Cairo’s club decided this after taking a few days of reflection following the poor results of a team that was once the flagship of the club, while now it is next to last in the championship of its category and risks relegation.
For Coppitelli, who after the signing and the medical examinations has already directed the first training session, it is a return. In 2016 he inherited the bench of Moreno Longo, continuing the work of his predecessor with profit: he won the Italian Cup in 2017/18 and the Super Cup the following year. Then he left the grenade to try the adventure among the professionals, but with the Imolese in Serie C he resisted for 9 days.
