Rome, December 16, 2021. With the first regions finite in yellow (and more to come) and the Christmas holidays approaching, could change the way people move around Italy. Infections from Covid they are constantly increasing and it is not certain that some regions cannot make a double jump in the range. Let’s try to understand what could happen, especially as regards the displacements.
Summary
Freedom of movement within the regions in the minimum risk range is total. There is no difference between vaccinated and unvaccinated. Anyone can go wherever they want.
Also in this case the freedom of movement is not affected. There is no difference between who is in possession of Green pass, Super Green Pass or who does not have a green certificate.
If any region enters the medium-risk range (this could be the case by the end of the year Friuli Venezia Giulia), then everything would change. In orange zone the restrictions apply only to those who do not have Super Green Pass. Those who have not been vaccinated or have not recovered from Covid will therefore not be able to move from their municipality of residence, unless there are justified needs. Those with the ‘premium’ green certificate will be able to continue traveling for pleasure in other regions as well.
Red regions
The government has not yet considered the issue. At the moment the old rules remain in force, so you cannot move from your municipality of residence. The government is considering whether to allow those with the Super Green Pass to be able to move freely.
For those under 12 there is no obligation to have the Green pass to get around (or to access other services). For this reason, they will always be able to move freely even if not vaccinated or cured of Covid.
